Retos de la Inteligencia Artificial
RESUMEN DEL PROYECTO
La AI requiere de un marco legal adecuado que garantice al mismo tiempo el avance de la investigación científico-tecnológica así como la seguridad y el máximo respeto de los derechos fundamentales en su utilización.
Estamos hablando de la realización de un estudio y análisis jurídico comprehensivo de la tecnología de la Inteligencia Artificial, identificando los problemas que plantea, en particular desde la la seguridad y eficacia en su utilización así como la perspectiva de la protección de los derechos fundamentales, para realizar una propuesta de legislación armonizada.
En este marco no sólo es necesario analizar los avances de la Inteligencia Artificial, muy unidos a las nuevas tecnologías robóticas, el Big Data y el Internet de las Cosas, sino sobre todo identificar los derechos fundamentales eventualmente afectados, vinculados en muchos casos, aunque no en exclusiva a la privacidad.
Todo ello con el objetivo de garantizar a su vez un uso seguro y eficaz de la Inteligencia Artificial con el máximo respeto a los derechos fundamentales eventualmente afectados.
El objetivo es solicitar una ERC-2018-StG, una Starting Grant, para estudiar los retos que presenta la regulación de la Inteligencia Artificial (Artificial Intelligence, AI) en el sistema jurídico multinivel europeo. Y es que la AI requiere de un marco legal adecuado que garantice al mismo tiempo el avance de la investigación científico-tecnológica así como la seguridad y el máximo respeto de los derechos fundamentales en su utilización.

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
As we konwn the IA requires an adequate legal framework that guarantees at the same time the advancement of scientific-technological research as well as the security and the maximum respect for fundamental rights in its use.
We are talking about the realization of a comprehensive legal study and analysis on Artificial Intelligence technology, identifying the problems it poses, in particular from the safety and efficacy in its use as well as the perspective of the protection of fundamental rights, to propose an harmonized legislation.
In this context, it is not only necessary to analyze the advances of Artificial Intelligence, closely linked to the new robotic technologies, Big Data and the Internet of Things, but above all to identify the fundamental rights eventually affected, linked in many cases, although not exclusively to privacy.
All this in order to achieve an adequate regulation that guarantees both a safe and efficient use of Artificial Intelligence technology with the maximum respect of fundamental rights that may be affected.
The objective is to prepare an ERC-2018-StG, a Starting Grant, to study the challenges presented by the civil regulation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the European legal multilevel system. As we konwn the IA requires an adequate legal framework that guarantees at the same time the advancement of scientific-technological research as well as the security and the maximum respect for fundamental rights in its use.
